As you all know the 80's exaggerated sleeves as well as power shoulders are back on trend even though i dont do trends when it comes to my clothes i couldn't just let this pass without having it in my wardrobe. I absolutely love this way it fit on my body and normally i would wear a UK size 16/18 which is US 12/14 depending on the cut or fabric but i decided to go about two sizes upward with this top because of the fabric and i also wanted it loosed and flowing not every day tight fitted body-con i need to be free. The power shoulders helps to balance out my body because it is well structured and i am on the curvy size, its has the same structure you get from the Balmain blazer which i love so much but unfortunately i cant get one in my size.
This can be styled in so many ways which includes a maxi skirt, mini skirt with the top tucked in, a pair of wide or peg leg trousers, a short or even a denim which is what i decided to go with keeping every other thing simple so as not to take away attention from the top.The focus should be on the top and nothing else. Top is from https://www.asos.com which is having a major sales at the moment with 50% off, denim/sandals: Newlook, bag: Chanel Vintage Medium single flap lamb skin.
