Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all are doing okay and staying safe? Today i will be sharing with you all the things i no longer wear due to personal reasons and preferences. I believe that as one gets to a certain stage or age in life there are things that you have to let go off. For some reasons these things do not work with my lifestyle anymore, check out my YouTube video beneath for an in-depth view .
1. Bodycon Dresses
As a born-again christian the Lord spoke to me about wearing very tight fitted clothing's i personally struggled with this in my spirit for a while because i love bodycon dresses but i began to realize that it can be quiet distracting and screams attention. Bodycon dresses are not classy and elegant in my own opinion beside the Lord have spoken to me about this so i had to give it up.2. Over the Kneel Boot
Over the kneel boot is a must for the fall season and i absolutely love it but as someone who is plus size and curvy it can be a hit or miss for my body type maybe because i have not found something that looks flattering on my shape. Also, you all know that the struggle is real when trying to find an over the kneel boot that has a wide fit or wider calf, instead i have opted for mid calf and thigh high boots because they look flattering on my body type.
3: Luxury Lip-glosses
I would spend more than 30 Euros on a lip-gloss yes you heard me right but it occurred to me that it really does not make any different on my lips so i said to myself no more Chanel, Tom Ford, YSL or any luxury lip-glosses rather i would stick to Mac or drug store lip-glosses. I think this was the most stupid thing i ever did in life spending that amount of money on a lip-gloss.
4. Luxury Nail Polish
You can never go wrong with having a good looking nail any day any time. It happened that i was spending so much money on buying luxury nail polishes thinking they would last longer on my nails but i was totally wrong with this assumption. They chip like the drug store nail polishes too so i have decided to wear only press-on nails which i absolutely love they are life savers.
5. Luxury Costume Jewelries
I love my Chanel CC earrings do not get me wrong it is a master piece that goes with every outfit. When it come to costume jewelries they are not worth the price and hype, it is better to invest in fine jewelries like Gold something you can use over the years. My experience with Chanel earring's has been a good one but the necklace i would say do not buy it because my chain tarnish which i had to throw away and kept just the pendant.
6. Biker Motor Jacket
Biker jacket is a wardrobe staple that can be worn with any outfit as well as any time of the year. As a plus curvy chic this makes me look bigger than i am it is not flattering on my shape and body type because of the cut so i have opted for blazer. You can never go wrong with a good pair of blazer. Check out Zara for a good statement blazer yes i fit into Zara blazers depending on the cut and i always would size up because Zara cut is way too small.
7. Logo Belts
I remember when Gucci launched their GG Belt every influncer and blogger went crazy over that belt. I must say that the hype has died down . One thing about me is that i do not do trends, i get classy pieces, things i can wear over and over and also style in different ways but i fell for the Gucci belt trend and come to think of it i am not one that tucks in my shirt i love to be covered up and not flaunt my shape. Any thing that has to do with a logo belt i no longer wear be it from Chanel, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Valentino etc.
8. Black Smokey Eyes
Smokey eyes can be sexy when paired with the right nude lips because i have hooded eyes it is just too much going on and they seem to close up my eyelids.
9. Vampy Lipsticks
This can be sexy and sultry for the fall i must say and i use to rock bold lipsticks like crazy but as time went on it is all about the soft glam for me with my makeup application less is more. Now i only wear a nude lipstick or a banging red lips i do not miss wearing vampy lipsticks.
10. Lace Frontal
